Marble and Natural Stone Baseboards
Stone baseboard finishes the line where a stone floor meets the wall. It also holds up in places where wood or MDF base would swell or stain, like bathrooms, laundry rooms and entries. Each baseboard is cut from the same stones as our tile, so you can match the floor exactly or add contrast with a darker base.
Where it works
Bathrooms and powder rooms, around tubs and showers, kitchens, mudrooms, entries, and anywhere a marble or travertine floor needs a clean edge.
Stones, sizes and finishes
Marble options include Carrara White, Calacatta Gold, Calacatta Oliva, Thassos White, Oriental White, Crema Marfil, Afyon White and Emperador Dark. Travertine comes in Ivory, Noce, Scabos and Walnut, alongside Absolute Black granite, Bianco Dolomite and Honey Onyx. Most pieces are 12 inches long and about 4 to 4 3/4 inches tall, with a finished top edge, in honed or polished finishes.
Price range
Most baseboards run about $13 to $32 per piece.
Installation and care
Set baseboard with a white or gray thinset or a stone adhesive. Leave a small gap at the floor and fill it with caulk to allow for movement. Seal along with the floor, and clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner.
