Noce Travertine Tile and Mosaics
Noce, Italian for walnut, is a mid-to-dark travertine with warm brown, rust and tan tones. Its natural variation gives floors and walls a relaxed, lived-in character. Noce is lighter and more varied than our Walnut travertine and deeper than Ivory. It's sourced from Turkey.
Where it works
Kitchen backsplashes, bathroom floors and walls, shower walls, fireplace surrounds and living areas. Tumbled Noce in 3x6, 4x4 or 6x6 is a popular backsplash choice for Tuscan, Spanish and farmhouse kitchens.
Finishes and sizes
Choose tumbled, filled and honed, filled and polished, split-face, or brushed and unfilled. Field tile comes in 12x12, 18x18, 12x24, 6x18 and 9x18, plus a French pattern set. Smaller formats include 3x6, 4x4, 6x6 and 4x12. There are also 1x1, brick and random mosaics and matching liners, chair rails and bullnose.
Price range
Most Noce field tile runs about $7 to $16 per sq ft, with tumbled small formats at the lower end.
Care
Seal before grouting on tumbled and split-face tile to prevent grout haze, then seal again after grouting. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and reseal periodically.
