Terrazzo Look Porcelain Tile
Traditional terrazzo is poured in place from marble chips set in cement or resin. It's beautiful but labor-intensive and costly to install. Terrazzo look porcelain gives you the same speckled, chip-filled pattern in a tile you install like any other floor. It's durable, consistent and doesn't need the grinding and sealing that poured terrazzo requires. Most of this collection is made in Italy and Spain.
Where it works
Kitchens, bathrooms, living areas, entries and commercial spaces. It suits mid-century, modern and Scandinavian interiors. Some tiles have an R11 slip rating for wet or outdoor areas. Check each product's specifications.
Finishes and sizes
Most tiles are matte for a natural honed look, with glossy and polished versions that mimic polished terrazzo. The main sizes are 12x24 and 24x24. Designs range from fine-chip white and gray to bold black Ceppo-style patterns and warm multicolor blends.
Price range
Most terrazzo look porcelain runs about $3 to $11 per sq ft.
Care
The tile needs no sealing. Clean with a neutral cleaner and warm water, and seal cement-based grout to keep it looking fresh.
