Marble & Travertine Switch Plates and Outlet Covers

Marble and Travertine Switch Plates and Outlet Covers

A plastic cover plate is often the one detail that breaks up a finished stone backsplash or wall. Our natural stone switch plates and outlet covers are cut from the same marble and travertine we sell as tile, so the plate reads as part of the surface instead of an afterthought.

Where they work

Kitchen backsplashes, bathroom and powder room walls, laundry rooms, entries and living spaces. Anywhere a stone or stone-look wall meets a switch or receptacle.

Stones, styles and finishes

Choose single and multi-gang plates for toggle switches, rocker (decora) switches and duplex outlets, in combinations like double rocker or toggle-and-duplex. Stones include Italian Carrara White and Calacatta Gold, Greek Thassos White, Crema Marfil, and Ivory, Noce, Walnut and Scabos travertine. Most marble plates are offered in both honed and polished finishes, so you can match the sheen of your tile.

Price range

Most plates run about $33 to $70 each, depending on the stone and the configuration.

Care

Wipe with a soft damp cloth and a pH-neutral stone cleaner. Avoid vinegar, bleach and citrus-based sprays, which can etch marble. A light coat of penetrating sealer helps keep fingerprints and oils from darkening lighter stones.

Finishing a stone project? Pair your plates with matching stone moldings and trims and marble shower niches and soap holders.
